Cardiovascular Programs

Coronary Artery Disease (CAD)

Coronary Artery Disease (CAD), also called Coronary Heart Disease, is a condition where plaque builds up inside the coronary arteries.

Heart Failure (HF)

Heart Failure is a condition where the heart can’t pump enough blood to meet the body’s needs.

Hyperlipidemia

Better known as high cholesterol or high fat in the blood.

Hypertension (HTN)

Peripheral Vascular Disease (PVD)

Peripheral Vascular Disease (PVD) occurs when plaque builds up in the arteries that carry blood to your head, organs, and limbs.

Stroke

A stroke or "brain attack" occurs when a blood clot blocks an artery (a blood vessel that carries blood from the heart to the body) or a blood vessel (a tube through which the blood moves through the body) breaks, interrupting blood flow to an area of the brain.

Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA)

A transient ischemic attack (TIA) occurs when the blood supply to part of the brain is briefly interrupted.

Asthma

Asthma is a long-term lung disease that inflames and narrows the airways. It causes recurring periods of wheezing (a whistling sound when you breathe), chest tightness, shortness of breath, and coughing.

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a disease that makes it hard to breathe and gets worse over time. COPD can cause coughing that produces large amounts of mucus, wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and other symptoms.

Cystic fibrosis (CF), is a disease of the secretory glands, including the glands that make mucus and sweat.

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a disease where your body's immune system attacks the protective covering of your nerves.

Gastroesophageal Reflux Disorder (GERD)

Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) is a digestive disease that occurs when stomach acid or, occasionally, bile flows back into your food pipe. The backwash of acid irritates the lining of your esophagus and causes GERD signs and symptoms.

Hepatitis

Hepatitis is a swelling of the liver which helps your body digest food, store energy and remove poisons. While there are many causes of liver inflammation, they are divided into two main categories: viral hepatitis and non-infectious hepatitis.

Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)

Inflammatory Bowel Disease includes Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, which causes swelling in the digestive tract. Inflammatory bowel disease symptoms include abdominal cramps, bloody diarrhea, fever and weight loss.
